چکیده

Methods Thirty-four patients referred for coronary x-ray angiography with suspected or known coronary artery disease underwent cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) at 1.5 and 3 Tesla, and additionally FFR measurement in LAD, CX and RCA. MPR was calculated in 544 myocardial segments at both field strenghts. FFR was measured in 109 coronary arteries with a cut-off value of ≤0.8 for relevant stenosis.

3 Tesla is the preferred field strength for perfusion imaging in coronary artery disease – a comparison to 1.5 Tesla and fractional flow reserve

Background Adenosine perfusion imaging at 1.5 Tesla (T) has been shown to yield good diagnostic values in comparison to quantitative coronary angiography. Perfusion imaging at 3 T has the potential benefit of higher contrastand signalto-noise ratios. However, little is known about diagnostic performance of 3 T perfusion imaging in comparison to 1.5 T and in comparison to invasive measurement of...

Validation of dynamic three-dimensional whole heart magnetic resonance myocardial perfusion imaging at 3.0 Tesla against fractional flow reserve for the detection of flow-limiting coronary heart disease

We demonstrate the feasibility of 3D myocardial perfusion CMR at 3 Tesla against fractional flow reserve (FFR) in 53 patients for the detection of flow-limiting coronary artery disease and show good agreement between the techniques. This technique shows excellent diagnostic sensitivity and specificity and may offer an alternative method of detecting ischaemia for the purpose of guiding revascul...

Inter-observer agreement and diagnostic accuracy of myocardial perfusion reserve quantification by cardiovascular magnetic resonance at 3 Tesla in comparison to quantitative coronary angiography

BACKGROUND Quantification of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) myocardial perfusion reserve (MPR) at 1.5 Tesla has been shown to correlate to invasive evaluation of coronary artery disease (CAD) and to yield good inter-observer agreement. However, little is known about quantitative adenosine-perfusion CMR at 3 Tesla and no data about inter-observer agreement is available. Aim of our study...

Blood oxygen level dependent and adenosine-perfusion imaging correlates to invasive measurement of fractional flow reserve

Background It has been shown that blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is able to detect myocardial perfusion differences. However, validation of BOLD CMR against myocardial perfusion reserve (MPR) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) is lacking. We sought to analyze the potential diagnostic accuracy of BOLD CMR in comparison to invasively measured FFR which...

Multicenter evaluation of dynamic three-dimensional whole-heart myocardial perfusion imaging for the detection of coronary artery disease defined by fractional flow reserve

Background Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) perfusion imaging yields high diagnostic accuracy for the detection of coronary artery disease (CAD) [1]. However, standard 2D multislice CMR perfusion techniques only provide limited coverage and hence prohibit computation of myocardial ischemic burden. Recently, two single-center 3D CMR perfusion studies have proven highly diagnostic for the detecti...
